This was our first church wedding this year and the sun was shining brightly. We arrived at St Leonard's church in Oakley at 11.30am it was so peaceful at that moment so off I went to get my first image of the day the church looked beautiful. Our groom and some of his boys arrived along with the first guests of the day. Time dose fly on a wedding day and before long everyone was inside the church and Mel was arriving and a very cool blue sports car. Today was going to be so much fun!
The ceremony was absolutely wonderful it was full of laughter, and it was the perfect setting for a summer wedding. Once the rings had been exchanged and the official documents had been filled in it was time for family formals. Family formals where done fairly quickly and we had a short window to take our newlyweds out for some portraits I personally love this time with our couples.
This wedding was split in to two parts so John and I had the unusual luxury of going home for a few hours we cooked dinner and uploaded a few images to show the bride and groom for when we went on to the next venue. We got back in the car after a break and headed off to the Crown Plaza in Reading we had never been to this venue before it was bigger than I had imagined I liked it a lot and I can see why Mel and Rich love it too. We took Mel and Rich off for about half an hour for a few more couples portraits the light was really beautiful at this part of the day. We headed back to the hotel and jumped straight into the cake cut and then the first dance.
This really was the perfect Hampshire church wedding.
